Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a square baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk melted butter and sugar together until smooth and glossy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until thickened and fully combined.
  4. Whisk cocoa powder, flour, and salt together in a separate bowl.
  5. Fold dry ingredients gently into the wet mixture until no dry streaks remain.
  6. Mix peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth for the swirl mixture.
  7. Spread brownie batter into the pan and dollop peanut butter mixture across the top.
  8. Swirl peanut butter gently through the batter using a knife for marbled texture.
  9. Bake for 12 minutes until edges look set while centers stay slightly soft.
  10. Cool brownies completely before slicing for cleaner squares and fudgy texture.

Notes

For fudgier brownies, remove them while centers still look slightly underbaked. Bake longer for firmer texture. Freeze sliced brownies tightly wrapped for quick desserts later. Chill brownies briefly before cutting cleaner squares. Add chopped peanuts, caramel drizzle, or chocolate chips for flavor changes. Store brownies covered for up to five days.
