Ingredients

Waffle Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Waffle Maker
  • Measuring Cups
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Cooling Rack
  • Freezer
  • Tray
  • Spatula
  • Oven

Method

  1. Preheat the waffle maker and lightly grease it for easier waffle release later.
  2. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together inside a large bowl.
  3. Mix milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract smoothly in another bowl.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir gently until combined fully.
  5. Keep the batter slightly lumpy for softer waffle texture after cooking properly.
  6. Scoop batter into the hot waffle maker without overfilling the surface area.
  7. Cook waffles until golden brown with crisp edges and fluffy centers inside.
  8. Transfer waffles onto a cooling rack briefly before serving with favorite toppings.

Notes

Cook waffles slightly longer for crispier texture or remove earlier for softer centers. Freeze cooled waffles between parchment paper layers for easy reheating later. Reheat waffles in a toaster for better crispiness. Add blueberries, chocolate chips, or cinnamon for flavor changes. Store waffles sealed tightly in the refrigerator for up to four days.
