Ingredients
  

Vanilla Filling
  • 1 5.1 oz box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream cold
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 5 medium bananas sliced
  • 1 12 oz box vanilla wafers

Method
 

  1. Whisk pudding mix and cold milk until smooth and thickened slightly.
  2. Stir in condensed milk and vanilla until glossy.
  3. Whip heavy cream to soft peaks, then fold into pudding mixture gently.
  4. Place wafers in dish, creating an even base layer.
  5. Add banana slices in a single layer, then spread cream mixture evenly.
  6. Repeat layers until dish is full, finishing with cream on top.
  7. Chill 4 to 6 hours until firm and layers hold shape.

Notes

For softer texture, chill overnight. For crisper wafers, serve after 2 to 3 hours. Freeze 15 minutes before slicing for cleaner portions. Build layers gently to keep stripes neat. Customize with caramel, nuts, cinnamon, or chocolate. Store covered in refrigerator up to 2 days.
