  • 8 oz 226 g cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup 113 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 ½ cups 300 g powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Beat 1 cup butter and 1 ½ cups sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in separate bowl.
  5. Gradually combine dry mixture into wet ingredients.
  6. Press dough evenly into prepared pan.
  7. Bake 20–22 minutes until edges turn lightly golden.
  8. Cool completely before frosting.
  9. Beat cream cheese and ½ cup butter until smooth.
  10. Add powdered sugar gradually while mixing.
